Local Butcher Shop; a Meat Lovers Dream

This week Dana speaks with Eldon Campbell, Garfield County Native, former 4H’er and OSU Graduate about his journey to becoming part owner of the small business called T&C Meats in Enid, OK. T&C Meats, a small local butcher shop that opened in 2017, has been a huge success selling prime steaks, premium ground beef, and high quality pork and chicken products.

With the assistance of a CARES act grant from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Eldon and his partners are constructing a meat processing plant in Enid, called Chisholm Trail Meats that will open Spring of 2023. This new facility will have the capacity to handle 50 head of beef a week (in addition to some pork and lamb) and fill the local need of custom processing. This plant will also have the ability to inspect and label meat products bound for farmers markets, restaurants and retail sale.
