Addressing the Rural Vet Shortage

This week, Dana sits down with Dr. Rosslyn Biggs to discuss the fact that rural Oklahomans are experiencing a severe shortage in large animal veterinarians. Through grant funding, Dr. Biggs and many others at OSU are hosting a new in person module series called the OSU Integrated Beef Program to address this.

Interested Veterinarians and Veterinary students are asked to apply for the program online. Selection for the 2023 program will be sometime in Fall of 2022.

Dr. Biggs is an OSU Beef Extension Specialist and also the Director of Continuing Education for the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Her contact information can be found here.
